Darkography art begins with a DSLR camera specially modified for infra red photography. Infra red light
is not visible to the human eye, so special equipment is needed to record it. Pictures taken with infra red light often
have an eerie, surreal look that cannot be achieved by other means.
The subject is selected based on personal interest, theme, and sutibility for infra red photography.
Once the subject has been photographed with the infra red camera, a combination of digital filters and manual editing is used
to achieve a dark and dramatic representation of the subject. The style is unique, but to a certain degree similar to the
work of impressionistic painters.
